Plunger

Water Temp: 15 - 30 seconds after boiling the jug

Dose: 15g of coffee per 230g of water

Grind: Course/Plunger grind

STEP 1:

Fill the plunger with hot water in order to preheat the vessel.

STEP 2:

Weigh and grind the coffee. Pour out the hot water and put the grinds in the plunger.

STEP 3:

Pour in the water and set a timer for 3 - 5 minutes.

STEP 4:

Use the plunger to gently dunk the coffee grinds just below the surface of the water.

STEP 5:

When the timer sounds gently press the plunger down but not all the way. If you press down all the way then this may cause some of the insoluble fines to enter your cup when you pour. By straining the coffee into your cup these insoluble fines are greatly reduced.
